Position Summary
The Social Media, Communications & Event Coordinator is responsible for independent planning, developing, coordinating, and executing the Firm’s social media, communications, content, and event initiatives in support of Driven Advisors’ brand, visibility, culture, and business objectives.
The position exercises independent judgment in managing assigned initiatives, establishing priorities, evaluating communication and content approaches, coordinating events, analyzing results, and recommending appropriate courses of action within established Firm objectives, policies, and brand standards.
The role works closely with Firm leadership, internal departments, vendors, and external partners and serves as a key resource in ensuring that the Firm’s communications, social media presence, and events are strategically coordinated, professionally executed, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Principal Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Digital Content
  • Develop, write, recommend, and execute the Firm’s social media strategy, content calendar, and related initiatives in alignment with the Firm’s business, marketing, communication, and branding objectives. Coordinate with all Firm departments and initiatives to identify, develop, and incorporate relevant content into the social media calendar.
  • Independently manage the Firm’s social media and content calendar, establishing priorities and adjusting schedules based on business needs, Firm initiatives, market developments, engagement opportunities, and timely communication needs.
  • Actively monitor and manage engagement across the Firm’s social media platforms, including direct messages, comments, posts, and other interactions. Respond appropriately and timely, generate engagement with followers and audiences, and monitor the corporate image and professional presence of the Firm and its Partners across applicable social media platforms.
  • Evaluate appropriate content approaches, communication methods, audiences, timing, and digital channels for assigned initiatives; incorporate them into the publication calendar, schedule communications accordingly, and monitor their performance and effectiveness.
  • Create, edit, coordinate, schedule, and timely publish social media content, including written content, graphics, photographs, videos, reels, stories, and other digital materials.
  • Continuously evaluate social media trends, audience engagement, platform performance, and other relevant information to identify opportunities and recommend improvements to the Firm’s digital presence.
  • Monitor social media performance and prepare monthly reports and recommendations regarding engagement, reach, audience growth, content performance, conversion metrics, event participation, registrations generated through social media, and other relevant KPIs. Identify and implement opportunities to continuously improve results and increase performance metrics across the Firm’s services, initiatives, and published content.
  • Identify opportunities for new content, campaigns, platforms, and communication approaches and present recommendations to leadership.
  • Exercise judgment in identifying content or communications that may present reputational, confidentiality, brand, or other concerns and escalate matters when appropriate.
  • Maintain an organized central repository of all Firm digital content, including photographs, videos, graphics, marketing assets, templates, published materials, and other communication resources, ensuring that content is current, accessible, and properly maintained.
Communications
  • Develop and coordinate internal and external communication plans for assigned Firm initiatives.
  • Determine appropriate communication approaches, timing, channels, and target audiences within established Firm objectives and communication standards.
  • Draft, edit, review, and coordinate Firm communications, announcements, invitations, newsletters, presentations, promotional materials, employee communications, and other content.
  • Evaluate communications for accuracy, tone, consistency, audience appropriateness, branding, and potential organizational impact prior to distribution or submission for required approval.
  • Coordinate communications related to Firm services, events, community involvement, recruiting, employee initiatives, professional accomplishments, and other organizational matters.
  • Recommend communication strategies and approaches to leadership based on the nature and objectives of individual initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to obtain and evaluate information necessary for Firm communications.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling employee, client, business, or Firm information.
  • Coordinate communications with vendors, community organizations, professional associations, media contacts, and other external parties, as assigned.
Events Planning & Management
  • Plan and manage assigned Firm events, either independently or in collaboration with Business Development, Sales, Human Resources, or other internal teams, depending on the nature and objectives of the event.
  • Coordinate events associated with Firm sponsorships, including evaluating sponsorship requirements and opportunities, coordinating Firm participation, managing related communications and logistics, and ensuring appropriate brand representation before, during, and after the event.
  • Apply the Firm’s “I am Driven” competency and segmentation approach to appropriately identify target audiences, market segments, services, and communication strategies associated with events, sponsorships, and related initiatives.
  • Independently manage assigned Firm events from initial planning through execution and post-event evaluation.
  • Develop event plans, timelines, logistics, communication strategies, resource requirements, and recommendations consistent with established objectives and budgets.
  • Research and evaluate venues, vendors, services, and event alternatives and make recommendations based on quality, cost, operational requirements, and Firm objectives.
  • Coordinate and negotiate routine event arrangements with vendors and external service providers within established parameters.
  • Coordinate invitations, registration, attendee management, catering, audiovisual requirements, signage, presentations, promotional materials, transportation, supplies, and other event requirements.
  • Serve as the primary coordinator for assigned events and make appropriate day-to-day decisions necessary to address issues and support successful execution.
  • Monitor event budgets and expenditures and communicate material variances or concerns to leadership.
  • Coordinate pre-events, on-site, and post-event communications and social media coverage.
  • Evaluate event results and recommend improvements for future activities.
  • Maintain event records, vendor information, budgets, timelines, attendance information, and other relevant documentation.
  • Develop and coordinate event-related communications, including invitations, announcements, promotional content, reminders, registration communications, and post-event follow-up, either independently or in coordination with the appropriate internal teams.
Marketing, Brand & Business Support
  • Support the implementation of the Firm’s broader marketing and branding objectives through social media, communications, and events.
  • Evaluate assigned marketing and communication needs and recommend appropriate solutions consistent with Firm objectives.
  • Maintain and promote consistency of the Driven brand across communications, digital platforms, events, presentations, promotional materials, and other channels.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership regarding social media, communications, content, branding, and event-related matters within the scope of the position.
  • Collaborate with Business Development and other internal teams to identify opportunities to leverage communications, digital platforms, and events to support Firm visibility and business objectives.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and determine priorities based on deadlines, business significance, organizational objectives, and operational requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve communication, social media, events, and related departmental processes and recommend appropriate changes.
  • Coordinate and oversee assigned vendors and external resources.
  • Perform other related professional responsibilities consistent with the scope and level of the position.
Education, Training and /or Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Advertising, Business Administration, Digital Media, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible professional experience in social media, communications, marketing, public relations, event management, digital content, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing social media content, communication initiatives, marketing projects, or events with limited day-to-day supervision.
  • Experience analyzing social media or marketing performance and developing recommendations based on performance results and relevant metrics.
  • Experience coordinating professional, corporate, client, community, or business events preferred.
  • Experience working with vendors and external service providers preferred.
  • Experience in a professional services environment is a plus.
Language, Skills and Knowledge Requirements
The employee must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish, including strong grammar, spelling, editing, and proofreading abilities.
The position requires strong organizational, analytical, project-management, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to independently manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
The employee must demonstrate creativity, initiative, adaptability, professionalism, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to evaluate alternatives and recommend appropriate courses of action.
Strong working knowledge of social media platforms and digital communication practices is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, is required. Experience with Canva, Cap Cut, Meta Business Suite, social media scheduling and analytics platforms, and other marketing or content-creation tools is preferred.
The employee must be able to interact professionally and exercise appropriate judgment when working with Firm leadership, employees, clients, prospects, vendors, community organizations, and other external parties.

The employee must be able to analyze information, evaluate alternative courses of action, exercise independent judgment within the scope of assigned responsibilities, establish priorities, and make or recommend appropriate decisions.
The position requires the ability to anticipate potential issues, independently resolve routine and moderately complex matters, adapt plans in response to changing circumstances, and recognize situations requiring consultation with or approval from Firm leadership.

PC/laptop, telephone, printer, scanner, photocopier, camera and video, audio visual equipment, mobile devices, email, Microsoft office applications, social media platforms, content-creation applications, and other standard office, marketing, and multimedia equipment.

Physical Demands
The position requires normal physical effort while sitting, standing, walking, communicating, and using office and multimedia equipment.
The employee may be required to stand or walk for extended periods during events and occasionally lift, carry, transport, arrange, or move event materials, promotional items, supplies, and equipment up to 30 pounds.


Work Environment and Schedule Requirements
 
    • This position requires flexibility to work extended hours, holidays, weekends, and irregular schedules based on operational and event-related needs.
    • Attendance and availability outside the regular work schedule may be required for Firm events, client activities, community initiatives, conferences, and other business-related functions.
    • Occasional travel may be required for events and other Firm-related activities.
    • The employee regularly works in a professional office environment under normal conditions.
    • The noise level in the work environment is generally moderate; however, event environments may vary depending on location and activity.
