- The Tax Supervisor is responsible for preparing, reviewing and overseeing tax compliance engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with U.S., international tax, state and local tax regulations.
- This role manages multiple client engagements, maintains strong client relationships, and provides guidance and mentorship to tax associates and senior associates.
- The Tax Supervisor also supports Managers, Directors, and Partners/Principals in addressing complex tax matters, conducting technical tax research, identifying tax planning opportunities, and ensuring high-quality service delivery while meeting deadlines and Firm standards.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in the preparation and review U.S. federal, state, and local income tax returns, as well as international tax returns, for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and other entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing complex international tax filings, including Forms 5471 (Information Return of U.S. Persons With Respect to Certain Foreign Corporations), 5472, 926, 8858, 8865, 3520, 1118, 1116, 8992 (GILTI), 8993 (FDII), and 8938, including the preparation of FinCEN 114 (FBAR) and thus ensuring compliance with U.S. international tax and other reporting requirements.
- Assist in planning and executing tax engagements, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Identify and resolve complex tax issues and provide proactive tax planning strategies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Communicate tax findings and planning opportunities to clients in a clear and concise manner.
- Manage tax notifications from the different government agencies and assist in the preparation of draft responses.
- Supervise, train and mentor tax associates and seniors; provide constructive feedback and performance evaluations.
- Assist Managers, Directors, and Partners/Principals in the development of training programs for the tax practice and the Firm in general.
- Participates in learning and training sessions as an instructor.
- Delegate work effectively, balancing staff development with engagement efficiency.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and continuous learning initiatives.
- Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Research complex tax issues and provide recommendations to managers and partners.
- Prepare tax memos and consultations on U.S., international tax, and state and local tax matters as needed.
- Support the Firm’s business initiatives.
- Manages the engagement economics, billing and collections and engagement letters.
- Review resumes and conduct interviews for recruitment of candidates and consultants.
- Licensed Attorney, CPA License (or progress toward certification), or Enrolled Agent preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or another related field required.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a CPA firm, with a focus on tax compliance and reporting.
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of accounting standards & regulations, research techniques, analytics, and current tax laws and regulatory matters.
- Possesses excellent budgeting & analytical skills, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with tax research platforms (Bloomberg Tax, Checkpoint), accounting software programs (Ultra Tax), and Microsoft applications.
- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.
- Fully bilingual (Spanish and English).
- Is a self-starter who works efficiently, remains attentive and completes assignments in a timely manner.

- May be required to pass criminal background check.
- Hybrid Arrangement: In our Coral Gables office approximately 2-3 times per week. Also,occasional travel to Sebring, FL office as needed.
- CPA office environment, which may at times include a fast-paced work atmosphere, frequent phone calls and elevated noise levels.
- Shifts may include working long hours, holidays, and weekends to complete assigned projects and make deadlines.
